Tindersticks / Buried Bones

My favourite Tindersticks song, and there were so many in contention. A terrific band with an unmistakable sound.

They're one of those bands I keep telling myself I should buy something by. To my shame, I know very few Tindersticks songs. I remember them doing a great cover of Townes Van Zandt's Kathleen, and a cover of the Four Tops' What Is A Man? for a BBC drama series called The Sins (great series, by the way). And then the other week I heard a song called Tiny Tears, which I thought was great.

OMG! They are one of my favs. I have Waiting for the Moon which I have flogged to death many times. Fav track... ooh, tough one. My Oblivion is a top one...Sweet Memory is closer. Thanks for cheering me up this morning!

Ah! This was the one album of theirs I ever owned. Think I found it a bit samey after a while ... bit too smooth. Prefer the grain of Sparklehorse for those dark ballad moments.

I really like them. "Curtains" is probably a good album to start with. They are a brilliant live band too.
