I am a poet. But any subject is fair game here.
Rob, great poem - definitely has what it takes. Congrats.Liz
yes that one's great - and I love being able to listen to people reading them... ah!
That was great, what a pleasure to hear you read it (and not an Edinburgh accent in sight!). I particularly like the line breaks on 'age / in the bathroom' and 'cling / film', thoroughly enjoyable listen and read!
Excellent poem Rob, and a good reading of it. I agree with sorlil about the line breaks.Colin
Really fine poem, Rob. Haven't had chance to listen to it yet, but like the line-breaks too.
That poem was deeply disturbed. I liked it. Reminded me of an incident in my own life involving pesto sauce and a length of rubber tubing. I try never to write - and publish! - poems about such things though. Gives one a bad name. ;)
My comment didn't seem to post. It was high praise. I read the poem aloud myself first, enjoying the echoed sounds woven all throughout.
Thanks everyone. Glad you enjoyed it.Jane, a "mad, bad and dangerous-to-know" persona would be great to have. It would sell books! Perhaps I could cultivate it, as I have a few poems to fit that image. The only problem is that I am too nice... sob...
