My Cyclone virtual book tour rolls onward. Today I’ve reached South Africa and am interviewed by Michelle McGrane on her Peony Moon blog. I meditate on how Joy Division stopped me going to parties, the experience of life abroad, live poetry, my creative chaos, and fatherhood. I also name the first five favourite books that popped into my head.
Thanks to Michelle for some great questions. Next Monday (10th August), I’m back at Nic Sebastian’s Very Like A Whale, and the tour closes on the 17th at Jee Leong Koh’s Song of a Reformed Headhunter.

Oddly, I was only looking at the Cyclone Tours page at Salt this morning and spotted that you were due another outing.
Camper Van Blues was published autumn 2008. Nearly a year ago, in other words. Is it too late, do you think, to go on tour? I was overtaken by other work at the time of the book launch and never got around to orgnaising a tour.
Seems a pity, since I don't get enough time to blow my own trumpet these days, and it is such an enjoyable way to spend the day. ;)
